Why Advocacy Matters
One of the most promising ways to create equity and affect positive change in society is through advocacy. From immigration rights to fair housing, many local and regional organizations are advocating around important social justice causes.
At the Race Equity Leadership and Research Collective, we believe that successful advocacy is built on strong collaborations, allowing information to be easily accessible to everyone working toward change.
Additionally, meaningful advocacy is steered by members of the community. We treat our community partners as collaborators – not subjects – of our research and programs.
